he's riding, too. What kind of bars are those? You've got to admire that kind of dedication, or is it obsessive/compulsive-ness?

I used to commute 40 miles round trip, which included a brutal climb in it. But 45 each way is truly something. I will note that he is in So.Cal. so has little in the way of cold weather or rain (or both) to deal with. Still, he's a stud. Almost makes me wish I lived farther from work. Almost.
Quite the commuter!look271

Another reason to commute via bike-they are easy to fix/maintain/cheap to repair. I hate my car. It's back to commuting by bike. Forgive me for I have sinned! I've been driving to work ENTIRELY TOO MUCH! It's back in the saddle again! (Sorry about the semi-lucid rantings of a mad-man. My POS Camry has left me sit 2X in the past week. I hate it.) Did I say that I hate my car!?
Now let me get this straight.MB1

It is ok to call a car a POS without starting flame wars but never ever call any bike that no matter how bad it is.

I didn't want it but she did, so you know how that goes. I bought a Forrester. Guess what she drives now?
