|I'm 48 and in pretty good condition. I've been on several long distance rides including a coast to coast 2 years ago. I've been riding inside for the past 2 months almost daily in Zones 1,2,3,and 4.
QUESTION: I've always relied on time on the bike in recent years to get in shape and this year I've decided to do the HRM training program as outlined by Sally Edwards and Sally reed in their book " the HRM Workbook for indoor cyclists"
Do you think I should really start at the very begining workout or should I start out at a level that's comparible with what I'm currently doing????
I currently ride for one hour a day. I do level 1 then 2 for first 30 minutes and then do two five minute intervals for levels 3 and 4.
My training goal is to enjoy group tours at a pace of around 16-18 mph average. first tour is louisiana in late april

|I would start out at whatever level you are currently at provided you are comfortable at those levels and doing a workout that is similair to the program.|| |
