|Going to Seattle tomorrow and need a good place to rent a quality road bike...

|At that point you'll be wanting to go to Aurora Cycle, R&E, or the Montlake Bike Shop. If I were you, I would avoid Gregg's and REI. They have some good mechanics, but it's a crap shoot really.|

|I don't know if it's still there, but Il Vecchio at Leschi is a good one for high-end stuff. For custom frames, go to TiCycles. Good service there too. Gregg's is good for volume stuff, and they have a decent supply of trick comps.|

|I too say Gregg's Greenlake. "Aurora Cycle" as someone else mentioned is just Gregg's Aurora shop. Just one word of advice though, avoid Gregg's Bellevue like the PLAGUE! I live 5 min away and unless I know exactly what I want, I don't go there. I'd rather spend 20 minutes on the road and go to Greenlake and get some real service. As a matter of fact, I was just there yesterday having a cleat fitting done (I hurt my knee so it was necessary). They have an excellent selection and some really smart guys. You can't go wrong...
