How many miles a year does a pro-cycle?tmotz

Would a pro cycle 40 hours a week since it would be their job?

Total time commitment is probably well over 40 hours a week, but actual time on the bike is usually a bit less. 5 or 6 hours a day is about the most spent actually riding. If I had to guess, I'd say 30 hours a week is about average on-the-bike time.

I read that Hincapie was loging 20k miles a year. 10 while racing and the rest during training. This was two years or so ago.
