|either cyclist or not? can't say I have. I don't know if most chicks care for the site of a guy in spandex and balerina-looking shoes lol. Dumb post I know, now its just a matter of finding more excuesses not to write this stupid paper haha.|

|Funny thing is I ALWAYS see women (or men for that matter) riding on the same route I ride while I am in my car, but when I get out there, I run into very few riders. I guess I ride at odd hours. Or I just don't catch up to any. When I got a flat, a whole bunch passed me, so that seems to be it. :)|

|My experience is a lot of girls who enter the sport are super nice and are pretty... cycling of course really helps them keep in shape.
But at the same time I've only seen probly 1 or 2 girls I'd actually date... then I've seen a handful or girls who are the fricking most annoying, bitchy, irritating women I've ever met. No wonder they were driven from team sports. UGH!

|And it was good while it lasted.
Now I'm happy to have a lovely young lady in my life who enjoys riding with me, even though we didn't meet "on the bike", cycling was one of the first things we discussed.

|I met the woman who a year later became my wife! For being vertically challenged (5' tall), she is an incredible cyclist. She |
has done 2 one day 200 mile rides (locally called "The STP") along with numerous centuries. We have been married going on
10 years now. It's been a great ride!

|... until they find somebody else to charm.
I do look at other women. The more I look, the happier I am with what I've got.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

|I have even met Fitness Lynn.
Have fun at her site. She is a bit strange. I have met women on centuries to that I have gotten lucky with after the ride. They are out there. You just gotta look:)

|Sure, I've met lots of women while riding. Some of them were even interested in hooking up with me (I'm off the market -- gloves hide the ring, so I ride gloveless most of the time). |
I even had one drop her pants in front of me. Okay, so it was a strange event. If you're interested -- Tour of Willamette (forget the year), a woman had crashed in the first stage (she was at the finish area). I happened to have a pretty extensive med kit in my car, and the ambulance crew was no where to be found. So I grab the kit and go over to her car. She's sitting in the front seat in sweats. Get the stuff out to scrub some road rash, and ask what's the worst. Turns out to be on her knee. She stands up, and proceeds to drop her sweat pants. Well, I'm basically on my knees preparing to scrub out her rashed knee. When I look up a bit... BUSH!! At that point I suggested we approach the knee from the other end -- pull the pants UP instead of down. Guys on the team were giving me a SERIOUS ration of crap over it. Found out that evening at the TT stage that she prefers women.

|are you sure you were not taken for a ride? the friend of mine has a habit to tell on girls that they "prefer women". That of cause if he's personally interested in getting in their pants first.|

|I really WASN'T interested in getting in this woman's pants. And it was a team-mate (who is very attractive, and I've said so in MANY settings) of hers who told us as a group when I related the story to her that evening. Just made the razzing all the more prevalent. Most of the old guard Seattle Velo guys know this story as well (as they were the ones razzing me).|

|you get into those situations from time to time when the girl seems nice and forthcoming and set up is favorable.. just doesn't click for whatever reason.
with respect to teammate of hers competitive girls are very jealous sometimes they'd say nasty things about each other.
PS I am surprised no resident board girl commented something alone "just because I look like butch I am a butch" lines. Happy trails
