|but then I don't think you could clamp to the seat post either! Experimental bike? Only to be ridden at night in Area 51? Yikes!|
|Doesn't look like the owner likes it either.||No_sprint|

|I don't think it's got much if any mileage on it at all. Owner didn't even bother to put bar tape on. He's sure screwed if that seat height aint right!|

|So don't be too harsh, the man may have to buy it just to round out the collection. He's gotta have one of each and every bike. *
Akirash....man...don't do it! Its' ugly and that seatpost? What's with that?
*I joke only out of heartfelt envy.

|I could be wrong but with all of the gussets around the seat tube and head tube, I could swear that's what it is. I think they were the predesessor to Calfee.|

|Colin Laing is a custom frame builder who worked at Reynolds (UK) early in his career (and still has connections to the original family). He is now here in the Chandler AZ area, building frames and working at SuperGo (to pay the bills and for benefits - I guess). He is planning his Jubilee (50 year) anniversary edition of his bikes this year I think.
All this is from his own mouth, assuming I remember it all correctly. He is also a sought after wrench come July and does invitational races in the UK.
Thought you might be interested.
I am sure that paint scheme and geometry were customer requests. I think the frame is probably steel, I am not sure he builds with anything else?

|Not at all to my taste, but the paint job's no uglier than what you see on a bunch of Colnagos ... I think the frame gussets and weirdly shaped stays / seat tube are pretty over the top, though.|

|Not to offend the many who must have them here, but I'd prefer that over a plain jane brushed Ti frame. Then again, some people hate Celeste. Different strokes...
