Says in my newspaper today it's going to be 27 degrees in Milwaukee. That's bicycling weather. BAD bicycling weather, but still... A wicking layer, a thick wool or fleece layer and a windshell, plus something over the ears/under the helmet, some kind of warmish tights and gloves. I did 30 miles on Saturday in the same conditions, and it wasn't THAT bad.

If Milwaukee is like Chicago you don't get a Spring.I'm in the same situation down here. The snow ride reports posted below are starting to inspire me though.Maybe if it gets over 30 I'll try it.
Actually 30 is about the worst temp to ride in.MB1

Any moisture around (slush, snow or whatever) is going to stick to your bike and drivetrain, freeze up and make a mess of everything. Nothing quite matches the feeling of having frozen gear cables, chain and cluster

I'd rather ride in the 20's and even the teens. Otherwise wait till it is in the high 30's before heading out.
Thanks for the advice(nm)PEDDLEFOOT

Get on your trainer and do a quality workout. That's something you should have started 3 months ago..........
