|When I was walking to work I was wondering if you rode in today and was gonna post a query.
I left my bike and messenger bag at home and walked. I had a blast running in the snow in Washington Square Park. I love how snowfall slows things down a bit. The children I saw walking with their parents to a school near my apartment were ecstatic.

|I had a great and scary time riding in. The roads where I live in Red Hook were plowed only a bit. My back wheel was fishtailing all over the place. Having only the front brake forced me to work on that backspin a it more today, but the fixed gear made up for no back brake.
The most dangerous part was riding in snow that had had piled up and turned to ice. You cant just pull your wheel out of it and you can feel your tires losing traction over jagged ice like that. My tires are Conti 3000's so there have very little to work with.
Riding homw tonight will be very interesting.

|I was thinking about you this morning as traffic crawled through the same storm in central NJ. Wondered if you'd make it in or cop to the subway.
