I can't really tell the difference, and am wondering what most people ride for that size frame. I am leaning towards 175 but not sure if the toe overlap will be too much.

I ride a 57 cm bike and ride 175 cranks. A lot of the decision lies with the length of your femurs and how long you've ridden. I rode 172.5 cranks for about 10 years and decided to get the 175s and have changed the cranks on every bike. Granted, it's only 2.5mm and probably a bit psychological, but I can tell the difference in my stroke, particularly when climbing. Toe overlap is really a big concern on a frme that big. I have a very small amount, but most people do as well. Cranks that are too long can also damage your knees, ask Jan Ullrich.

I have two ~57cm bikes, one has 172,5's the other has 175's. I honestly can't tell a difference between the two.

Are you a spinner or a masher? I'm a spinner, so I opted for the shorter crank. If you're a masher, go for the longer.

Did an article a few years back on advantages of differing lengths....he ended up with ones left on his bike 2.5 mm different in length...he rode his bike that way for quite awhile before discovering it, he couldnt tell they were different by riding...the moral of the story? YOu know how much difference in length 2.5 mm is? one tenth of an inch...go with whatever is already on the bike or what you can get the best deal for.
