This was posted on the Serotta board. I do not understand why there "might" be a problem with using Ti Prep. Does anyone have any ideas?

I sent an e-mail to Phil Wood asking about Ti Prep and their Ti Bottom Brackets. The reponse- "You MUST NOT use ti prep or anything similar on the threads of the BB. This most likely goes against all you have ever been told but you'll have to trust us. The alloy cups are teflon hard anodized and have been through testing and proved that they will not seize or gall in a ti frame. The same test have been done with our stainless cups and they pose no threat either."

But I don't care, I'm still going to slather the stuff in my BB. The again, I grease my carbon seat posts as well.
