Building up a B-bike (came into possession of a new fangled racing frame for this season). Former racer (now B-bike) is lugged steel - former parts (Shimano DA) have gone onto the new steed, which leaves me shy of parts on the old one.

I've got 1 (right hand side) STI shifter left over from another Frankenbike project (scuffed, but workable) as well as a pair of DA downtube shifters. I also have two pairs of aero brake levers.

Would doing the STI one side/downtube the other side thing be just too pretentious (shades of Lance) or should I "keep it real" with the dual downtube shifters? What would you do?

go with right STI/left downtube; you'll appreciate it climbing out of saddle.
I'd shut up, build it and ride it!(nm)merckx56
