Northwave Evolution Pedal Adapter Question(6 posts)

Northwave Evolution Pedal Adapter Questionmpj
Feb 1, 2003 6:01 AM
Just purchased a pair of Northwave Evolution Road shoes {Size 45} , and am now looking to purchase the pedal adapter to accommodate my Look pedals. Anyway; I'm sort of blown away by the fact that I can only find one place that even carries just the adapter {WorldCycling.com} and the cost is $69.95. Before purchasing I thought that I would ask to see if anyone knew where I might find an adapter for a little less? THANKS!!!

No I purchased them on Ebay - brand new; with the understanding that I would have to purchase the adapter separately. As it stands the adapter will cost me as must as the shoe; though in the long run, I'm still way ahead over actual retail cost, but was still looking to see if I could find an adapter cheaper, since $69.00 seems like allot?

for a tiny little piece of plastic? yes, seems outrageous. the adapter on my northwaves look like they're worth about 10 bucks.

Same thing. I bought the shoes from Sierra Trading for $60 and then paid $60 for the adapter plates.

Buy them while you can as I've found NW's distribution to be not great.
