I'm hemming and hawing about going to SA to run in the Comrades Marathon this year then visiting Cape Town later on but am not looking forward to three weeks off the bike. I know there are some SA types out there who may know about some ideas on getting hold of a roadbike for a few days/one week. I've stayed in Cape Town before but was only running and thusly didn't look into cycling contacts. If it matters, I'm looking for a 55-56 c-c...

Aw crap dude. I am from Cape Town. But I live in Florida now. I am sure one of the bike shops will sort you out. If you can't find one let me know I will try find some numbers, I have a couple of South African cycling mags around the house here and they have numbers in them for local stores. None of my friends that live there ride. But if you make it go to Camps Bay and throw my name around might get you a free drink somewhere.

when I was there in 2000! I seem to recall a place called The Fez? I actually stayed in Camps Bay at a friend's and was not too far from the Kloofnek(?) as I remember doing runs up that thing over to Lion's Head or something. Found that area to be one of the greatest spots in all the world for beauty/fun/climate. I may hit you up for some #'s. Thanks!

Well thats where I lived about 7 years ago now. Time just blows by. I have not been back but I will one day. I had an apartment right on the beach road and I worked at the Bay Hotel. My old high school is there too. Anyway if you need anything here is my e mail penderel@hotmail.com

Most of my friends from Camps Bay now live in London but my Mom is still in Sea Point.

You are right that place is so beautiful I can see a picture and I can smell the place, unreal. I don't remember a place called the Fez, but La Med is where I cut my teeth drinking and dating.

Cheers
Graham
