Had about an inch on my car this morning and it's still coming down hard. As a transplanted Yankee I just love to watch the natives try to drive in snow.
This has got to be the only winter that NC and SC have...Bonked

had more snow than Minnesota! Hope it stays that way. I only wish that it wasn't so cold; there isn't any snow, but with the highs in the single digits to teens (and its not supposed to break 0 today)...the riding hasn't been great anyway.
Not sure if it's record cold but ....McAndrus

...my utility bill for December was twice its normal. On the bill the utility company states average temperatures for the billing period. The December 01 average was 53 degrees. The December 02 average was 43 degrees. Brrrrr.

(I know, I know - no sympathy from the Yankees.)

And I distinctly remember last year reading that the winter of 01-02 was the coldest winter in 73 years. What does that make this winter? Where the heck is global warming?

Every storm splits right around us and we are in the High 40's , low 50's. Great for cycling in January but really unusual here. Good thing the Olympics were last year, not this year.

Minus 40 in Edmonton area yesterday. Minus 30 right now. But up until last week we were having a near-record warm winter with little to no snow. We've gotten about 15 inches of snow in the last week. One's perception of global warming is, for sure, highly relative.
