pearl chamois break in(4 posts)

pearl chamois break incyafshin

I just bought a pair of pearl izumi micro-sensor shorts over the net as they were on sale and thought to be a good deal. Just tried them on and the chamois seems huge and stiff compared to my black bottoms. Does this break in and get less obtrusive? Trying to decide on returning them. Thanks.

Throw a lot of Chamois Butt'r (or other lube) on them, paying special attention to the seams on the edges of the pad, where the pad changes from Blue to Black (on either side of inner thighs) and give them a try. I prefer a thicker chamois and like these over my very thin Performance Classics...There have been comments on the review page about getting rubbed the wrong way between the thighs where those seams are, and I've experienced this a little bit, but not enough for me to get rid of them. I say give them a try and see if you like them or not...it's only money :)
Wash them by hand once, use some Chamois Butt'rTig

After a wear and wash or two, they should feel fine.

Wash and wear a few times and they will end up about the size of a lower priced chamois(before being compressed into a thin little sheet of material).I have been using a pair for a couple years and they have held up great.
