Any guesses? I am curious about the AL version. I don't know...not a trick question. Thanks.

What model and size and year for starters.

Now me, I couldn't give a hoot about the weight of a bike but if you want a fairly good answer we have to know a bit more than it is one of the many Giant Al products.

For discussion purposes, let's say small 2003 aluminum frame with standard aero giant fork.

The medium frame TCR is 2.2 pounds...

It's definitely one of the lightest frames in any material.

large TCR from 2001 is 2.6 lbs.
fork with aluminum steerer is 540 grams, and carbon would be lighter.
MED 2003 composite frame== 960 grams, fork=335 grams uncutwettap

Small (the size I have) is about 2.3 pounds. My complete
bike is a hair over 17 pounds. I'd notice more performance
though if I lost about 20 pounds however.

2.2 pounds might be for the xtra small frames.
