Help on price: Litespeed Siriusnoveread

Okay, sorry to post this, but I do need help. I wasn't really in the market for another ride, but I don't want to let this one pass me up if this is a good price. It's an '03 Litespeed Sirius frame+fork (new, obviously) for $685, packed, insured and shipped. Yes, it's in my size and yes, I do like compact frames. This seems like a good price but I dunno since you really can't buy litespeeds as just framesets anymore...

Anythoughts? And please, no litespeed bashing, I know it's not made in TN so don't even bother going there.

I bought an '03 Sirius at the end of the Summer. I am in the UK so harder to compare prices, but that sounds to me like a real bargain, over here a f&f costs GBP990.00.

As regards the ride - I love it. Builds up nice and light without any real high-end bits (I have Centaur 10 plus Campag Proton wheels) and handles really well. Climbing is superb due to the compact frame and light weight, and handling is fast without being too twitchy. A real bonus is comfort - with it's carbon/ti forks and seat stays it is nearly as a comfy as my old 531 steel frame, buts climbs and accelerates way better.

I say buy it - at that price I don't think you can go wrong.

I think that's a great price. I recall seeing an Orion, Litespeed's non-compact version, that sells for $950.

I bought the '02 Sirius as a complete bike because I couldn't find the frame separately. I plan to transfer my DA group from my old bike to the Sirius. I'm also replacing the stem with a Zepp and the handlebars with Easton EC90s.

It'll probably lighten it by another few ounces.

Go buy it and have fun.

Thanks guys, we did the deal and the ride is on the way. Not sure how I am going to get this one by the wife. I guess I'll just cross that bridge I when I have to! I better get to selling more stuff on ebay. I'm allowed free reign with my ebay proceeds! :)
