I know this topic is fairly common, but isn't CYCLE SPORT the best there is? It makes BICYCLING seem a bit (pardon the expression) pedestrian.

It's not perfect - I mean there's virtually no coverage of women in the sport, it's extremely Euro, and they seem to love Colnago. They write "tyre", "fibre", and I don't know what's going on with their subject-verb agreemant ("Mapei are . . . ."?!?). VELO NEWS pales by comparison. Just one rider's opinion, though . . . .
Agreed on Cyclesport...seyboro

... most entertaining magazine out there. Throw in the odd copy of procycling and you have yourself a pretty complete look at the European peloton. As for their grammar, in Britsih English, it is customary to refer to an implied group in the plural. As in: Manchester United ARE playing well today, the police HAVE a suspect etc....

I agree that CS is the best, with Pro Cycling a close 2nd. I dont really think Bicycling should really be compared to either. The two are geared towards professional cycling with some gear reports thrown in. Bicycling is geared to the hobby in general. Velonews is geared towards racing in general, with more focus on the domestic front.
...nothing wrong with real english, mind you ;-) nmSpunout
