Two questions for any Met Stradivarius owners out there:

1)Overall fit and finish? Any comments?
2)If you race, have you ever encountered any problems (MET is not certified helmet in the US)?

World class... MET helmets will best any currently in prodution for design, finish and retention system... while fit can be a personal issue, I've found the Strad to be best overall (owner of way too many helmets including Giro Helios, Boreas and Pneumos... along with Specialized Sub 6, Catlike Kompact and other assorted) for my odd shaped noggin.

2)If you race, have you ever encountered any problems (MET is not certified helmet in the US)?

I've seen many a Strad at USCF track events with narry a problem... while I can't speak directly to it... I suspect that race officials are more concerned that you're wearing a helmet than to haggle and inspect each for a CPSC sticker... Also, MET meets virtually all standards in all countries that require... they merely don't wish to take on the US legal system (I'm too stoopid to use a helmet so I'll sue the maker (MET even restricts Euro vendors from selling to US customers))... thus no Snell/ANSI/CPSC... they DO have the Euro (CEN equivalents)

In a world crammed full of Pneumos, Strads and 5 Elements set you apart... I recommend 'em.

I've purchased from...

http://www.bikepark.co.uk
http://www.bikepark.co.uk/acatalog/Bikepark_Online_Road_Helmets_38.html

These items can sometimes be delayed by lengthy backorders... so send an email to check on availability.

I'm spoiled... so I've got a red... silver (close to white) and blue one... guess I need to think yellow.

from the pic it looks like a deep navy blue that is almost black. Is it that dark or does the pic just make it look that way?

no. It is that dark. I do not remember who I ordered mine from but it was the best money I have spent on any helmet. I to would own a couple more if the wife would let me. Alas I will stay with my blue one.

Tried Met, didn't fit,MGS

I ordered a Met as there are no dealers in the USA.

I am a perfect fit for the Giros.

The Met didn't fit.

Be cautious buying any helmet without an opportunity to try it on.

Other than fit, the helmit was fine, not quite the finish of the Giro.
