I charge $30.00 an hour for consulting. At that rate this bike is worth about $450.00! It took nearly three hours per wheel to scrape the deteriorating plastic off. But Samantha was ecstatic on Christmas morning! I completely stripped the frame and fork, then applied four color coats and three clear coats of Krylon. Sam picked the colors, the streamers, and the seat cover last summer (it's actually flourescent pink). Wish I'd taken some "before" shots, 'cause it sure looks better! The frame was badly chipped/rusted white, and the bars/stem were very hacked up. It took quite a bit of polishing with a fine flat file to restore the smoothness. If I had a better camera I'd take more shots... Sorry about the web-cam...

Very nice - labor of love. Samantha's a lucky girl.
