When setting up rollers is it better to put the front drum directly under the axle of the front wheel or slightly ahead of it?
I've heard both & am wondering what if any the differences are in terms of handling, etc.
Thanks in advance.
As near as I can tell, it doesn't make very much difference. Ibill

think the idea is that, if you can't put the roller directly underneath, put it a little bit ahead. I have put different bikes on my rollers where, because of slight differences in wheelbase, put the rollers either directly beneath or a little bit ahead, and I can't tell the difference.

The problem with having it directly underneith is if you stand up you'll more than likely go off the front... same thing is true for a sprint. Also with the roller slightly ahead it levels the bike off more.
