|the "cippolini blasts lance" post below spurred me to ask this. it's something i've thought about from time to time.
if lance should win tour #5, wouldn't you like to see him come back the next year and try to win the giro/tour double, and maybe throw the vuelta in there for kicks? just to see if he could do it?
obviously, he dominates the tour, and seems on a level above the rest of the competition. so perhaps he handicaps himself a bit by trying for the giro first? maybe he fails to win six tours if he does, but i wonder if he really wants to beat the record? perhaps he would be happy with simply tying the others, as a sign of respect to them and the history of the tour de france?

|Forget the Giro. It's too early in the year for Lance to go all out to win. Forget trying to win the Vuelta, because that's for Heras, although I'd love to see Lance in full domestique mode working for Heras.
I'd love to see Lance take two or more of the following World Cups that he is capable of winning: Amstel Gold, Liege-Bastogne-Liege, San Sebastien, Zurich, and Lombardy. I'd like to see him take the World Cup as a result.
If they move the Worlds back to August in 2005, I'd like to see him take another jersey.
Then I'd like to see him retire with both rainbow jerseys.
That would be a season to remember.

|That way more pro's would show up. Long overdue!|

|What I'd like to see, mainly out of interest, is Lance ride a regular season like nearly every other pro-cyclist does. It's the one reason I can't hold him in the same light as the other big guns of cycling through the ages. He's been mainly a one race guy.
Very, very good at that one race right enough...
