Just curious if anyone abstains from sex during the racing season or a couple of days before a race? How much more energy/stamina do you have and how many days do you abstain before a race.
No No No! Studies show that performancerwbadley

may be >slightly hindered< if the act takes place within two hours before the sports event. There is no reason to skip 'the act' and create a potentially large conflict with your partner and mess up an otherwise healthy sex life.

I would recommend putting this out of your mind completely!

...I distinctly remember reading a research report last summer that showed men suffer diminished athletic performance if they've had sex within 24 hours prior to an event. The interesting tidbit was that women show -improved- performance if they've had sex within the 24 hour window.

The study made no guess as to why it makes men weaker and women stronger.

Testosterone goes down in men after sex, up in Women. That might have something to do with it.
Who cares what studies show?djg

Ok, if you race for a living, maybe. But ordinary folks? Would anybody really give it up to win a 10 dollar prime? Really. Enquiring minds . . . are sorry they asked.
