I don't have a big budget. By the time I'm buying clothes I'm looking for change under couch cushions. Voler offers jerseys and bib shorts for $40-$50 a pop. The stuff is better than average quality. It's not Assos or high end PI but it's better than Performance brand stuff and other cheap clothes.

This is what I wore this morning.

I have a pair of Castelli's and Giordana's too, but I like my Nalini's the best.

I've got a few pair of the VOler, a castelli, few Pearl...but I always find myself reaching for the 2 pair of Biemme first.

and am thinking about buying a pair of the Voler tights that are presently on sale for $50. This spring I see myself buying some new Voler bib shorts, too.

I wear both Pearl Izumi and Voler, not at the same time though.

I prefer the P.I.s - one pair is so old that everyone makes fun of them, but until I get another pair of PIs I won't part with these - for longer rides as I have a hunch that the Volers were cause of saddle sores I developed recently doing lots of LSD rides.

The Volers are very sturdy - crashed a couple of times without damaging them at all. I prefer the bibs to the shorts as Voler shorts have a very strong elastic that would put pressure on my guts. I now use these on shorter rides/races only.

Cheap and comfy. What more do you want?

I've tried Pearl, and I'm not a fan of their fit.
I hate my Performance Century shortsColnagoFE

I've pretty much gone to all bibs now...mostly the Performance Elite line. If you haven't tried the Elites you should. The difference between the Century line and the Elite line is pretty big IMO. Much better fabrib and chamois. You don't have the gel chamois do you? Those have to be my choice for worst chamois ever--though I suppose there could be some that like them.
I use the regular classic chamois. nmbrider

Castelli's. Tried Performance, aussie, PI.SnowBlind

and the castelli's fit me best. Most of the rest I had to sew extenders into the shoulders.
Love the fit and value of Sugoi Ultimates nmbcm119

Giordana RT800DaveG

The relatively cheap Giordana RT800's are my current favorite. Simple synthetic pad with minimal seams and nice stretchy fit. The more expensive Silverline's are more technical but don't fit as well. Voler's OK but I'm not crazy about the seams on the Cantara pad. Pearl Izumi with new PRT pad are evil (nasty edge on pad tears my butt up). I just got a pair of Nalini bibs for Xmas but only have one ride in on them.
