|So its no secret that I don't like Tammy Thomas. And its pretty well known that she was caught and handed a lifetime suspension for drug use after her second offence earlier this year. But where this story takes a bit of a twist is that as a result of her victories earlier in the season (prior to when she was caught)the US was able to win the narrowly win World Cup title. The US won by a fairly minimal 24 points to Germany.
So my question is why aren't convictions retroactive? Sure Tammy Thomas has always looked like she's been on something but you can't convict someone on looks alone. However, when she's caught and since she's had a previous history of drugging why can't she be stripped of her World Cup medals for that year? Realistically it doesn't seem like she just picked up the needle and injected herself midway through the season. With steroids most of the gains are in training building the strength not in competition like EPO.
So I'd like to give my congratulations to Germany for their World Cup title.
My 2 cents,
Sorry had to include a TT pic.

|I'm with you!! Congrats to Germany. I IMHO believe that all the points Tammy put down should be stipped from the team total.|

|The Canadian chick is Lori Ann Muenzer. She lives and trains here in Edmonton and rides with the Juventus Club. Lori Ann works full-time as a legal secretary--since in Canada we don't support our elite athletes unless they're hockey players--and trains about 20 hours a week over and above her job.
Although I don't know her personally--a number of my friends do--if you see her in person she doesn't have that hard steroid-ripped look. And yes, she's been tested tons of times. BTW, with or without training she's a big, strong woman.

|How do you know what kind of training load she has? Her and her coach (Steen Madsen) do all their training in such a way Steen's brother doesn't even know what they do half the time.

|Note that Canada did have a [former] man ride on their national team as a woman at the world MTB championships - Michelle Dumaresq finished 24th in the womens race (garnering 77 UCI points for Canada) after having a sex change operation.|

|she is a hermaphrodite, not transsexual. She has XX set of chromosomes, so technically she was a female even before the surgery, that's why they let her to compete|

|As an American living in the new Bush led U.S.A. I reserve the right to accuse her of using illegal substances despite repeated negative testing. She is just doing a good job of masking them.|
