|Man, Just completed my first series of tests on a friend's CompuTrainer, and all I have to say is OUCH, that hurt!
We did the 16mph for 3 minutes each at 50,100,150, and 200 watts recording HR and then the 1 min recovery HR.
Moved on to the aerobic threshold test, which really got bad at aout 300 watts. This one you go for 1 minute at 18mph, seated, without shifting and 20 watt increments until you can no longer hold 18mph.
Finally we did power testing. A flat 0.2 mile course going for max watts and highest average watts.
It took me 20 minutes to feel like I wasn't going to puke! I was a cross-country runner in college, have been riding since I was 13 competitively, and run 20-30 miles a week now in addtion to riding, and I swear I have never been pushed that hard in such a short time.
Now here's to hoping all this suffering and info gained can go to use and I can become a stronger rider for it!
Anyone else have this experience?
