Painting OCLV(2 posts)

Painting OCLVgala7516

I recently obtained an OCLV frame. It is beautiful, but has quite a few nicks and scratches. It would greatly benefit from a paint job. Does anyone know where/how I could get this repainted? Right now the frame is red, I would like to keep it red or something similar.
Also, are there any special tips about building this bike? I am going to use petty much ultegra all around, with Mavic wheels.

Thanks,
mg

I am not sure if the lifetime warranty offered by Trek pertains to subsequent owners. If it does then you would need to have Trek paint it for you for the warranty to remain in effect. I don't know if this is important to you or not. I am going through the same thing. They use a special process on carbon fibre. It is not cheep to have Trek paint the frame around $600.
