Ordered my new bike...CHRoadie

and I cannot wait to get it! Should be ready this weekend. My LBS is building me a Trek 5500 (blue/silver USPS paint scheme) w/ Ksyriums, DA triple, ti Speedplay zeroes, Thompson Elite seatpost and Fizik Aliante saddle. The hills are calling to me!

Thanks to everybody at this site who helped me pick the components! And to the guy who said a DA triple is only for fat rich people, I am neither (5'11", 155 lbs), but I do like to spin up rides like this:

Happy New Year, everybody!!

I think you'll be very happy with your new bike. I built up a very similar bike (OCLV, DA + Ks) a few months ago and I love it.
Nothing wrong with a triple.look271

Beats knee surgery any day. You'll love the K's. Likely you'll never have to true your wheels again.

Congrats! What size? Were you trying to decide on several bikes, or did you already know what you wanted?

The frame is a 56. I'm riding an aluminum frame right now, so I knew I wanted to go with either OCLV or titanium. The 5500 fit the budget, and I know a lot of people that ride OCLV frames and swear by them. Should be ready this weekend!

Good luck with "Breathless Agony". It sounds like it's well named. Unfortunately, you can't blame your bike if you don't make it.

BTW, I really like my 5500 too. It motivates me to tune my engine.

I finished it last year, but I'm hoping to take about 30 minutes off of my time. And yes, I'm working on the engine, too! :-)
how much did you pay it ? And yes, triple is the best.PeterRider
