The Supergo Scatannte bikes are standard Asian built generic bikes. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion unless the brand name is important to you. I've checked out some of the aluminum frames and was quite impressed with the build quality.

Regarding the 853 frames in particular, they use quite large diameter tubing which should make for a stout frame. For example, the tubes are larger than what is commonly considered oversized tubing for a steel frame. Nice for the big guys but maybe too much for lightweights?

Good luck.

I am about to buy this bike it will come in on this friday from this date 1/6/03. Ive ridden the iron horse victory 1999 yellow taxi design about 2000 miles. im a big guy about 170 plus. I hope that its light and fast in handling but strong enough for my fat seasons i will write a review on this bike after the first week of riding. is it is as good as the iron horse it will be a steal at 1036 bucks after shipping.

You might be big for the tour but you're not a big guy. The last time I was 170 I was in 9th grade. If I were only as fat as you get.;-)

trust me im fat for the things i do. i cant buy the fuji team bike from bikes direct dot com because the frame gets too flexy if you weigh over 160lb and i weigh from 170to 195 at any given season. at 5'7" or 6"
