I mentioned that I just made the switch to clipless using look pedals/cleats and carnac ellipse shoes. After about 50 miles on them, I noticed my right cleat had a lot of "play." The top screw/bracket had completely fallen out...gone. The right screw was really loose.

How do you keep them in there? Loctite?

Also, yesterday, I bought my first pair of spandex shorts complete with padding. What is happening to me?

First of all you should use a big long shafted screw driver to get the torque needed to secure the screws. Look cleats are made of a soft plastic and do seat in after a few miles and it's a good idea to retorque them after the first short ride. You can use a non-permanent thread lock like the blue stuff made by various manufactures.
And what of the spandex? I swore I'd never wear spandex! nmrightsaidfred

The important thing is whether you think you look better in spandex & coolmax. It's all about image; isn't it....
Did you get it from Excel or Fredericks of Hollywood?dzrider

If you got it from a bike place, congratulations. If you got it from someplace kinky, send a photo. It'd be real good flame bait.
