Ultegra Rear D won't shift up to larger cogScummer

My 3-4 yr. old Ultegra right shifter won't "catch" when I try to make a shift into a larger rear cog. The lever simply moves all the way to the left (inside) without catching, or moving the rear d. Anyone had a similar problem and/or solution?
sounds like...gtx

cable tension, and probably solved by a few turns of the barrel adjuster. You might be off by one whole click. Is there an extra click left at the other end? Could also be your limit is dialed too far in (but don't mess with this unless you know what you are doing--otherwise you could end up shifting into the spoke and your wheel will be toast). Your cable and housing could also be worn or damaged or might just need to be lubed. Your der hanger could be bent, too (crash recently or lie your bike down on the drive side?). You might want to get a book like the one by Zinn so you can get clear on the concept(s), or take it in to a shop. Should be an easy fix.

If you haven't done it lately, try flushing out the innards of the STI mechanism with something like WD-40 or a Teflon spray lube. I had a similar problem (when shifting to smaller cogs rather than larger), and flushing out the shifter cleared it up.
