Kudos to CC for price matching. With a $30 gift certificate in hand, I had to make my purchase at CC. I wanted an ergobrain (Santa missed that one). CC had it for $129.99, but Excelsports has the ergobrain for $99.99. So, I emailed CC with the Excelsports webpage attached. CC matched the price, so the ergobrain cost me a net $69.99!! Not bad. Thanks CC.

I tried to price match a pair of shorts (Castelli PY2 Bibs-99.99 @ o2bikes.com) but they didnt bite on that one.

My orders from them always have some inane delay, with some after the fact explanation of how my address didn't match their records, something like that. OTOH, Excel and Performance have ALWAYS shipped immediately. That really turned me off from CC.

I used to order from them frequently and always verified all of my current info with them at the time of order.

Even paid extra for 2 day FedEx, since UPS ground from Colorado to East Coast takes more than a week.

Stuff wouldn't come. I would have to call back and then they usually gave me some story about how they tried to verify my info but could not. I asked them why they just didn't call me, and they said they tried - at a phone# I had on file from 7 years ago.

Their recordkeeping and verification process could use some improvement.

So I finally got the stuff 2 weeks too late - and they still charged me for the 2 day shipping upgrade. Other times I would get used, defective or previously returned products. And they would never refund shipping when they screwed up. No more Colorado Cyclist for me.

But I still get 3 catalogs sent to me every time a new one gets printed!

I set it up. Cadence doesn't work. I talked to CampyUSA and gave them the symptoms - they said to send it back. Yippe. Now let's see how long it takes to get a new one.
