|Been too busy to get a ride in lately: all my free time has gone into building up the bike. Did ride around the block a few times and liked it.
Selling the Merckx is one of those poor decesions us bike junkies make from time to time. It was a little short in the top tube for me but overall it was very nice.
As far as the tube shaping on the TST frames goes, I'm not sure it matters all that much really. The curved chainstays are to increase heel clearance but unless you have a problem with this you should be fine. The other tube shaping is nice but I doubt it contributes in any major way.
My preference for TST is due the the fact that they have an excellent reputation for quality and the frames are made here in the USA. I have no real problem with parts built overseas but other things created equal, made in USA does have some value to me.
