|World Champion Bar Tape||JFunk|

|Anyone know if Cinelli (or someone else for that matter) makes bar tape in the world champion pattern? I just picked up a set of Michelin's and really want some bar tape to match. I tried the rasta pattern, but without the blue it isn't happening.
All help appreciated!

|Maybe you can use multiple different tapes to wrap the bars? I dunno much about road stuff so I may sound crazy but I did read this article on weaving a bar which sounds really neat. I'm gonna post about it since my bars don't wrap properly without a weave. I'm doing something wrong.|

|Leave it to the ones who actually have the world championship jersey. If you like it thats cool and I know some people share your tastes but my personal opinion is its one of the few things that truely make you look like a poser.
Then again I'll be the first to admit I have a yellow Tour de France jersey in my closet that I wear fairly regularly. But it is a nice drifit jersey and it was given to me as a gift by someone who didn't know the meaning of it.

|Thanks for that useful info. Really just trying to give my bike the "complete" look. My Zurich already has the WC stipes on it and with the Axial Pros it would be nice if I could get tape to match. Probably only last about 4 months as I have been cycling through the tape and tires kinda quickly lately. I am gettin gbored with the frame and am trying to stave off a Fondriest purchase.
BTW I too have about a dozen team jerseys I love to wear. For me it is a way to feel like a part of the sport and fuels my passion for riding. It isn't about what some joker on his $6000 bike he never rides thinks of me. I ride for myself and my sanity. No one else.

|I wasn't trying to take a shot at you at all. But to each his own. Team jerseys I feel are a lot different than a yellow/national championship/world champship jersey in that they aren't a fan item anymore. They are something people win and for that reason have a lot of meaning behind them. For this reason I personally don't like the World Champ tires... the only way I'd ever put them on my bike is if I had a jersey to go with it. The yellow jersey is kinda different for me because I know I'll never have a shot at winning one but the world champion jersey I only hope isn't such a long shot... other than Rolland Green is the only male to ever have won one.

No worries. I didn't take it personally. Like I said, it is more of an experiment than anything. Plus it makesmy bike soooo much faster:)
