The Pave is, at 180 grams, awfully light for a road tire. It is very supple, handles very well, feels fast on the bike. The downside is that they wear quickly as there's not much rubber in the tread and, most important, they flat pretty easily.

I've given up using them on my training bike, but if I raced on clinchers they're the tire I'd pick.

I've replaced them with Gommitalia Targas. I'm certain they're made by the same manufacturer, but the Targa is 200 gr. The extra weight appears to be in the tread, and they seem noticeably more durable. I now have them on my training bike and like them quite a bit. Very similar ride to the Pave, just a little more durable.

They and Veloflex are made on the same manufacturing line, just packaged and marketed differently.
Thanks, think I'll try something else, probably Conti's. (nm)Uprwstsdr
