|Out of curiousity what is the strongest helmet on the market in terms of dissipating crash forces? I know all helmets are made to the standard but some helmets compared to something like the Giro Pneumo have an obvious ammount more material. Wouldn't this extra material provide more protection?

In general, lots of vents and low weight = less protection.

|The concept behind helmet testing standards is to duplicate the conditions that occur when you actually have an accident. If you have a different kind of crash than what the standards assumed, then a totally different helmet design might prove more beneficial.|| |
