My virtual CioccThe Human G-Nome
Dec 28, 2002 7:47 PM
so i'm home sick with the flu and even my girlfriend is out at a party with all my friends. bored, tired of movies and especially impatient about waiting for my new Ciocc to arrive (not until February). so i did the next best thing.... i photoshoped a virtual Ciocc out of lots of different pieces i found on the net. this pic is a very close replica to the bike i will be getting "soon":

Ciocc Hurricane
Look 396s
Carbon BlackStick post
DedaMag00 stem
All Campy Record/Chorus
Serfas Aria
White tape
Even the Michelin ProRaces

it's not perfectly spliced together but it's alright and everything is even the correct color. anyway, all i have is time to kill right now.... anyone else want their virtual bike spec'd and displayed proudly on the internet in this forum? i can't do loads of them but i'll try one or two if someone wants to point me in the direction of links to the necessary parts.

Nice Bike. Thinking about it must have a positive effect on getting well. Hey, its only 4 weeks till februari, sure time will fly. And if you need a pass-time, I would like to see what you could do to the CT-1 I just orderd, see my earlier post below.

Get well soon,

Ok, here's your Colnago CT1The Human G-Nome

Great Job, I'll try not to drool over my keyboard.

Thanks for the work and the suggestions on the colours. I do have ksyriums, so your work is pretty exact. Only downside is that now I've seen it in 'real', I can hardly wait to have it. Maybe I should print it out lifesize and put it against the wall?

How's the flu? Already feeling better?

Thanks again,

Just a slight oversight, I'm sure. Great Job.

well, it's missing a spoke as well. one more outburst from you and i'll throw some aerobars on it! (oh, the sacrilege)
How long did it take you to put these together?irregardless

Even assuming you didn't have to hunt down the pictures, which you probably did, it makes me cringe to think of how much work and attention to detail this took. You should write a program to do this and sell it to wrenchscience.

i photoshop regularly as part of my freelance career so not quite as long as you'd think. as long as i make pre-cutouts of the more popular components, they go pretty fast. no kidding on wrenchscience though, huh? if i were a programmer, i'd be on that in a jiff.

any requests?
Hey! That's my bike!!??CT1 Guy

Just had to run out to the garage and check that some cyber-kidnappers hadn't stolen my bike. Fortunately, the Chorus gruppo gave it away as I'm running Record. I can guarantee one of the sweetest rides you'll ever have the pleasure of experiencing, some much so that your other bikes will just gather final comment - fit Eurus - they don't creak.
Very nice.Great colors.(nm)TREKY
