Anyone ever gouge a roller drum?!FTMD

I guess the movie last night was too intense and I found myself on the floor. I picked myself up and finished the movie but later noticed that I had really taken a chunk out of my rear drum. It's a gouge about 4 inches long, and fairly deep in one spot. Deep enough to catch a fingernail. The deep spot also has a nice sharp edge. I think my skewer axle end dug into the drum.

Anyone ever do this? Surely this has happened to others. Fixes? I was considering trying to buff the sharp edge down with something, what I do not know yet. Or, I could just send it back to Krietler, but it is early winter and I don not want to be w/o my rollers.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I've done it. File\sand down any high spots on the gouge. Then, if it's really deep, fill it with Bondo and sand smooth. Happened two years ago and the repair's still holding up.
