|Sice April, my '92 aluminum Trek 1200 has not been ridden much. It was "replaced" by my '02 5200. My 14 year old son was up for his summer visitation and took a fair liking to my old steed. He grew quite a bit and is now only 3 - 4" inches shorter than me. I told him that if he rode his other bike a little more I'd let him have it. Well, he's been riding, so I took it down to him when I went on my annual Christmas present delivery. He was REALLY happy to get it.
I hope he turns into another Lance...if not, I just hope he gets as much fun out of riding as I do.

|I too had a 1992 Aluminum Trek. Mine was an 1100 thou. I'll never forget the day I bought it. The wife was sticker shocked so in all actuality after the "fight" it was not the bike I "really" wanted. Sold it two years ago and went from the advice from this webpage bought a 5500. Love it...The wife never said a word when I spent close to three grand to buy it. Bottom line, it makes me happy...|

|It's funny, but my the-wife (now ex) gagged at the $750 sticker price. My now wife (MUCH better than the ex) was the one who pushed me to upgrade from the 2300 to the 5200 because I was balking at the price of the 5200. It's been money WELL spent!!
