|I have a specialized Air Piranha Helmet. I noticed the shell has developed a small crack. I seem to remember filling out a warranty paper and sending it back to specialized when I first bought this helemt several years agao. I also think it said there was a crash replacement policy for this helmet. I have not crashed, least not that I can remember so I don't know if this would qualify or not. Has anyone dealt with Specialized Helmet Crash Replacement policy? Thanks in advance.|

|Check your ownership card or warranty papers. It gives you the address to send it to as well instructions. It was a while ago, but I seem to remember calling them on an 800 # to get more info. They were pretty good about the replacements (I crashed 2x w/ their helmets), but not especially prompt.|

|I've had experience with specialized warranty helmet repair but not the crash replacement policy. while I was on a trip I found a good deal on an Enduro Pro helmet and a couple of week later I noticed that it had a crack in the front. I took it to my LBS who is a specialized dealer and they worked with the rep to get me a new helmet (the lbs did not have my size and model in stock) -- everything went well and I was happy and got my new helmet (which is a great helmet). But this was a new helmet I don't know if their warranty covers a helmet that is that old|

|Weren't those the coolest helments? Gotta love the shark fin and the teeth in the "mouth" port. Anyway, Specialized is no longer honoring the crash replacement policy. According to their website they are only offering a coupon for 25% off a new Specialized helmet.|

|I had a crack develop in an Allez helmet I bought from them; they replaced it quickly with no problems (in fact, they said that if I could find a local dealer who had a replacement, they'd set it up through the dealer).
So I can only say that I've had very good luck with Specialized...
