dave hickey or others have you ever done this. I sent an email to look and they said. "You can use polyuréthan paint and vernish".

Are you talking about the clear coat over the natural carbon? If so, I've had no luck. The clear coat turned blue.

no there is a small nick on the top tub decal in the blue section that I would like to fill in.

The decals on the 86 and 96 are just multi colored squares. The blue would be very difficult to match with paint. I went to a Model airplane/hobby store and bought Monocote trim sheets. Radio control airplane guys use Monocote to cover the wings. It comes in a rainbow of colors and the trim strips are self adhesive. My 86 has red and silver squares. I bought red Monocote and just replaced the whole square.

did you put a clear coat on over that at all.

The monocote is very strong stuff.
