Someone on this board must be clever. Supergo does not allow mail order or web sales for LeMond. Supergo has the 2002 Zurich for $1299.00. MY LBS sells for $1900. Obviously I don't want to fly to CA. Do I need to get a straw man? Has anybody dealt with this? THX

...approached your LBS? I do not know what kind of relationship you have with your LBS, but perhaps your LBS might drop the price down to $1500.00 or to a price that would outweigh going through the hassle of finding a straw-man, dealing with shipping, and possible damage from shipping and/or packaging.

I have not seriously discussed it with the LBS. They have indicated they would sell it "on sale", but no details. Most of their sale bikes are about $200 off the MSRP. I know I need to ask them.

We, me and two fellow coworkers had the same dilemma a few years ago...they allowed us to put three bikes on a credit card..then a friend in LA went by and signed for it and they shipped it. They just needed an "in-person" signature..have a friend near to LA?
possible strawmanking of Norway

I live in LA and could possibly help you out. But consider the packing, shipping and insurance costs and maybe a negotiatied price with your LBS given these factors would seal the deal. Let me know. E-mail off list is jas66@earthlink.net

I live in Tempe, Arizona about 5 minutes from Supergo. I would be more than willing to help you out, if your local shop can not. Let me know. babyhuey77@hotmail.com
