|My Collegiate team (Swarthmore College) is in the process of trying to secure sponsorship for the 2003 seasons, and I was hoping to contact Jamis, because I think that they are local. I think they are located in Jersey. Anyway, I checked about every link on their website and couldn't find a singal bit of info on how to contact them. I am kinda wondering if that is their attitude toward cyclists maybe they are not the best company to deal with. Their Bikes look solid though. Has anybody ridden one? What do you think? I've heard good things about the quality, just would like to talk to them. Is that too much to ask. Thanks for you help.

|Jamis' address is 151 Ludlow Avenue, Northvale, NJ 07647. Sorry, I don't have the phone number handy.
I just bought a NOS 2001 Ventura. Very nice spec for very, very nice price (Tiagra, Ritchey WCS/Mavic MA3 wheelset, cost $480, delivered to my house)! Not a racer, but suits my purposes and budget. I was a little disappointed by the generic seatpost and stem, and the shifter cable adjusters are a little cheap. It rides like a dream, though. Curved seat/chain stays plus steel frame looks/feels good. Looks like they jumped on the carbon seat/chain stay bandwagon with their higher-end bikes for 2003. Haven't tried 'em. But I like steel...
The Canadian distributor was very informative, very helpful. I get the impression Jamis is a good company with the cyclist at heart. Good luck!

|I had a Jamis for my first rioad bike after a hiatus of 20 years. It was a Quest. good solid cruiser bike. The race bike is the Eclipse and most folks agree it is the best value race bike out there. It is steel, Reynalds 853 and speced out very nice. Jamis supports a lot of racers so give them a shot. Solid, bullet proof bike
They have a good web site too, with reprints of articles heralding the bikes.
Alternative would be Lemond's bike line.

|Jamis is located in Northvale New Jersey. They are not listed under the Jamis name. It is something like Joanau, but I am not sure of the spelling. The area code is probably 201. They have a web site www.jamisbikes.com.
In any case, I have an Eclipse for three years now, and I think it is a great ride.

|I bought this bike in April of 97. It is a steel hardtail with LX all around. It has taken a beating for the last 5 years with no complaints. I love it.

|THanks for all the help. The Joannu tip was the key turns out that they are under a different name. I was searching in the yahoo yellow pages and wasn't having any luck with Jamis, but as soon as I put in Joa* it came up as the first listing. Its impressive how much knowledge we have as a connected community. Thanks so much for the help. Here's the info:
