Thank you all for the help on the ticking problem I am having with my bike. Many responders say I should grease this part or that part. Could those bikers please tell me the best grease to use to try to alleviate the problem. Thank you mrr
White Lithium grease works well for threaded fasteners. nmgogene

My current favorite all around bike grease is Slick50 Grease One, available at your better discount stores. As good or better than the specialty "bike grease" and a WHOLE lot cheaper. Some people don't like lithium (white) grease because it doesn't hold up as long, but that's a minor point. For metal to metal contact, even automotive wheel bearing grease is fine, though pretty stiff for bearings.
