and, Wonderdog's response: "It's funny how Southerners get excited about snow and Northerners are like 'f%$#! it's snowing again"!

it won't stick, and if it does, with even an inch of dust, we'll get out of work and schools will be shut down for the next week, and the grocery stores will be raided and left bare-shelved by lunchtime today. they'll probably salt the streets tonight. people will drive like it's a warzone, but then again they do that regardless of weather. you should see 'em when it rains.

i'm 100% confident the cross race will still go this weekend, though. :)

peace out.

I live in what is I believe the 2nd or 3rd cloudiest area of the country - near the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. We can get significant lake effect snow as well, but I hear that with the strengthening El Nino this year we may already have seen the worst of winter here. So that may mean little snow but maybe plenty of clouds and temps in the 30's and 40's. You can have winter, please take it.
you can come look at ours, it's just the way we like it :)lonefrontranger

Piled up high in fluffy white cornices on the Indian Peaks, packed in nice and deep in the x/c ski trails at 9-10,000', but dry, warm(ish) and sunny down here on the plains. We like our snow especially when it behaves, and it's been behaving lately by snowing on the ski resorts and terrain parks, and being sunny and dry in Boulder / Denver. Time to break out the climbing skins and go hut to hut along the Colorado Trail!

P.S. it's good riding weather, too!

I suffer from SAD. It gets really bad. I remember one winter when I swear we didn't see the sun for a month. I remember the day it finally came out. My wife and I went out on the front porch and just stood there soaking it in (at 30 degrees). I cannot wait to move out of Michigan.

I remember what it's like, I'm from Ohio. I got really snappish and antsy in winters there. Ours was worse, we'd get the clouds and nothing to show for it except 35 degree rain. Or ice, woo-hoo!

Sounds like you'd really get a kick out of Flagstaff or Albequerque. There's some great riding to be had there, too.
The weather is perfect herePaulCL

LFR, you'll appreciate this...since you're coming to visit soon.

It's currently 35 degree with a steady rain. Not snow. Not freezing, just rain. Tonight, the rain will turn to sleet which will turn to snow - 2-5" by morning.

As Gregario said: I hate you. It's merely out of jealousy and envy. I hate the Cincinnait weather. Grey and cloudy for four months straight. Paul
it's ALL good riding weather. :) nmJS Haiku Shop
