Giant TCR Elite vs, Giant TCR...(3 posts)

Giant TCR Elite vs, Giant TCR...The Flash

Howdy all!

So I've narrowed it down to these two frames and have to ask the question...Are the Carbon Seatstays worth it? The frame will cost me and extra $250 to get the Elite vs. the TCR1. I'm a heavier rider (200+) and am wondering how effective these seatstays will be for me. I've loved the all-aluminum frame in the past, but since I have the choice now, please let me know which way you think I should go!

Thanks,
Scott

Also keep in mind that the Elite has a taller headtube, for most people this will allow the bars to be higher without the use of a rise stem or lots of spacers. The chainstays are also longer, making the wheelbase longer and the bike more stable. It was introduced in the line as a more comfortable sport oriented bike, that is why as a complete bike it is only spec'd with triple components.

Thanks for the insight. I've been really comfortable on standard Giant Mediums, so I think I'm going to stay with the normal TCR...

Thanks again!
