Okay, to those of yall who have used both, which do you prefer for road use...intended useage would be recreational rider, max of 100 miles a week, no more than say 30 at a time. Understand in advance the advantages of walking on SPD's...thanks.

"Eggbeaters". This one has been hammered a lot recently.

The cleats are so similar the advantages of walking would be the same.

The four-way entry of eggbeaters may be only an important feature if you're riding in a lot of traffic--it's an advantage over SPD's single-sided entry.

I've used Look, Speedplay, SPD and now the SPD-SL's (not out in public yet, though) and can't say I prefer any; maybe Speedplays are a little easier to get into if I'm stopping and starting a lot.
