|Weather: 38 - 40 F. Light rain/ mist at times. Three things made this an awesome day:
1. Started 5 - 10 minutes before the 8:00 am group ride. Comprised of mostly end-of-cross-season guys still way jacked up. They caught me and it didn't even cross my mind to catch up to them. Why hammer now? Was way proud of my self- discipline, and know it will pay off come spring/summer during race season.
2. Hit 5000 miles. Went slow and watched as it turned over and savored it, then hooted/hollered! Thought to myself: 'I really must be serious about this cycling thing'.
3. End of 3 1/2 hr. road ride. Showered, ate lunch, cycling clothes put back on, went on mtb ride! Still pretty new at it, and went with someone who took the time to teach me how to clear some tech. stuff. And a beautiful trail to boot. About a 2 1/2 hour ride.
Life is good. No complaints here.
