|I ordered a group from them a couple of years ago. This is the place in Texas, right? They had great prices ($800 for a DA group), but it took almost 8 weeks to get the components. My guess is that they took your money and then ordered the parts. They claimed everything was in stock when I ordered. That was a lie.
The wheels took even longer. They said it was because I asked for double butted spokes and they had to order them. I guess I should have known better than to ask for such an exotic upgrade. They screwed up the wheels as well -- I ordered Open Pro and got one w/ an Open Pro rim, the other with a Reflex rim. At that point I was so sick of dealing with them that I let it slide.

|This shop appears to be located in AR, not TX. Maybe it is a different outfit with the same name. Or maybe it is the same outfit that was run out of TX by angry cyclists.|

|I've ordered two complete bikes from them in the last year and have been very pleased. Brendan and Rick were extremely helpful throughout the process, from order to delivery. I can attest to their committment to customer service as I had to return a frame that I ordered too large. They resolved the issue quickly and without question or problem so consider me a satisfied customer!|

|I took delivery of a De Rosa bike from Competitive Cyclist via mail order last month. Competitive Cyclist is connected to a brick and morter store "BikeSeller" in Little Rock Arkansas. All my communication was with Brendan both via Email and over the phone. The severice was excellent and prices were competitive. I have since ordered some smaller items. My bike was built up and shipped within three days, and arrived a week later. My small parts order went out within 24 hours and arrived in a week. All of my orders went via USPS and arrived in 7 days (I live in Japan and my mail is a combination of USPS to LA and US APO Mail to Japan). I would highly recommend this company, as you can communicate with them via Email. They answer your questions with fast and knowledgeable service!!!
You can check out the thread I posted yeasterday that was connected to a post on shipping bikes. I attached a pic showing the packing job CompetitiveCyclist did on my bike.
