There is nothing I can say nice about Cane Creek. They head sets are so shoddy that they started to lose their smoothness in their bearings after 20 miles. I know anyone who has tried their stuff has been disappointed. No Shimano, that is a company who makes great headsets. Forget Cane Creek. The japs know what they are doing in this department.

certainly every company has issues with some products but it USUALLY a small percent and the company accounts for this....if they are intelligent. Cane creek makes excellent wheels and headsets. Some are better than others...perhaps you might give a little more time and consideration to your critiques before opening your mouth..... unless of course you have a habit of impulsive judgement which, by the way, has a higher percentage of being wrong and illustrates more abou who you are then you might want to give away. But dont worry...its a common occurance

the cartrage bearings can actually be taken apart and serviced

the mechanic at my shop takes them apart and regreases them then pops them back together and i guess they are as good as new, and hold up this time too

its a good fix and good way to save some money
Cane Creek-what a great companytronracer

I never had a problem w/ their headsets. One time, I lost a cup (I think that's right, the part that sits in the frame) and called them for a repacement part. They sent me a whole new headset...no questions. What customer service!!!

Never had a shimano headset, but I bet they are great too. But I doubt the level of CS is as good.

The only headset problem I've ever had is with the stock one that comes on the Bianchi Pista.

Campy, Chris king, and Cane Creek have all treated me well, and for that I have to thank the bike gods.
